Oho Welcomes New CEO, Liv Whitty Appointed.
Oho is pleased to announce the appointment of our new CEO, Liv Whitty.
Liv will succeed current CEO & Co-Founder Claire Rogers, who after serving as CEO for 4 years will step back from the role and join the Oho Board as an Executive Director. Claire will continue to support Oho’s growth in a reduced capacity, focusing on funding, advocacy, and customer acquisition.
Liv will start as the new Chief Executive Officer at Oho on the 23rd of September 2024, where she will work closely with Claire and the Board to manage the CEO transition.
Liv is a seasoned leader in customer growth and product development, with a strong background in blending digital and technology for social good. Her most recent role was the Workforce Development Director at RMIT Online, where she established a multi-million-dollar business from its infancy. Liv has also held key leadership roles at Seek, Change.org, Cotton On Foundation, Kidspot, and Reachout.com.
As we continue to focus on expansion, we are delighted to appoint someone of Liv’s calibre to lead us through Oho’s next stage of life. After a rigorous recruitment process, we identified Liv as a strong commercial and digital leader but also something of a unicorn, having both B2B SaaS experience and direct lived experience in care and community. Liv also has a track record of inspiring teams and driving success in many industries.
I want to acknowledge Claire’s considerable contribution to Oho’s establishment, growth, and development. Under Claire’s leadership, Oho now protects over 3.1 million Australians and has completed over 9.8 million worker verifications, supporting our mission of making Australia a safer place. Claire has made monumental strides for safeguarding in Australia and will continue to support Oho’s social impact.
“I am thrilled to be joining Oho on our mission to make Australia a safer place,” Liv shared in anticipation for the new role. “The team has already established Oho as the go-to partner for organisations that care about safeguarding their clients and children with always-on credential verification. This practical solution addresses a crucial need in managing organisational risks. I look forward to leading Oho in our efforts to prevent abuse, reduce risks, and support excellence in care and community initiatives.”
Claire Rogers said “it’s not often you get to hand the baton to someone so perfectly aligned in mission and experience with the journey so far, and yet so capable of setting additional horizons into play. I am delighted Liv is our next CEO and look forward to supporting her as she builds on our foundations and drives our growth into the future.”
Please join me in welcoming Liv to the Oho family and thanking Claire for her incredible contribution.
